How we do it
Our Recovery and Insolvency specialists have been ranked in the top tier of the Legal 500 for the last five years, recognising the wide range of corporate and personal insolvency work undertaken by the team.
Some examples of our work include:
- Acting for the directors of a tour company that needed to restructure as it could not meet the solvency requirements required to renew its ATOL.
- Acting for the trustees of a pension fund in relation to the recovery of a £1.4m pension shortfall from an insolvent firm of solicitors.
- Acting for the liquidators in relation to allegations by the main creditor that it had been defrauded out of about £2m by the company and assisting the liquidators in tracing substantial sums paid by the company off shore.
- Advising the board (comprising both local authority and unpaid private partnership directors) giving specialist detailed advice on the solvency of a not for profit company as well as advice on director’s duties, their potential exposure to liability and the impact of both upon the board’s review of the company’s future ability to continue as a going concern.
