Harnessing 20 years’ experience of bringing directors’ disqualification proceedings to advise directors on defending an order
It's hard to find another law firm with our unique insight into the workings of the Insolvency Service. Having worked with DBIS (Department for Business, Innovation & Skills - formerly known as the Department for Trade and Industry) for nearly 20 years, you can be confident that we know exactly what we’re talking about. That knowledge means that we will speed up the disqualification process, make it as painless as possible and keep your costs down.
Seek legal advice at the first sign of trouble
If you’re in the unfortunate position of managing a company through liquidation or have received notification of proceedings, you must take control of the situation early.
Directors will often ignore the warning signs, but if legal advice is sought promptly, you’ll have more scope in defending proceedings or, at the very least, in reducing the disqualification period.
We act for directors in:
- defending disqualification proceedings
- mitigating the disqualification period
- making applications for permission to act as a director (post disqualification)
- helping you to prevent things getting to this stage in the first place – advising and guiding you on your duties and responsibilities as a director.
