Employment law specialist with a particular interest in corporate restructures, the outsourcing of contracts and associated employment issues
Andrew offers general employment advice in connection with both contentious and non-contentious matters, advising particularly on the practical aspects of collective redundancies and the TUPE Regulations. He is also a regular advocate in the Employment Tribunal.
He heads the Education section within our Charities and Education team and acts for a number of independent schools and FE colleges across the South East and London.
As well as offering training to clients, Andrew is often invited to speak on employment issues in the region, and presents regularly to ACCA Sussex, Sussex CIPD, Croydon CIPD, FE Sussex and other external seminars. He is proud to be the only member of the HR Forum for FE Sussex (an innovative partnership of all post-16 colleges in Sussex) not attached to one of the member colleges.
He also contributes regularly to various publications.
In his capacity as a governor of a primary school, Andrew has responsibility for performance management and equality and diversity.
He is also the firm’s Trainee Partner, responsible for the recruitment and management of our trainees.
