Contentious and non-contentious construction law specialist
Susan has over 20 years’ experience in construction work and has extensive experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction matters having previously been a Partner and Head of Construction at Goodman Derrick.
She regularly advises property developers, contractors and funders on all aspects of construction projects including advising on contracts, professional appointments and warranties. On the contentious side Susan is able to assist clients with final account resolution as well as litigation, arbitration and construction adjudication.
Susan has recently been involved in a number of high profile local projects including the construction of the new Grandstand at a local racecourse and specialist projects for a Sussex based data centre company.
Susan sits as a Deputy District Judge on the South East Circuit and is an adjudicator on the panel of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

In the real world … with three young daughters, ‘spare’ time is at a premium but Susan always looks forward to holidays (preferably somewhere hot!) and enjoys cooking, researching family history and supporting Manchester City, the latter having become far more enjoyable of late!
